SMALL GROUP TRAINING
Small-Group Game-Style Soccer Training in Portland
Unlock elite performance through our dynamic, high-touch training sessions.
At PDX Football Academy, our small-group training program is built for players who want more than practice they want game-ready growth. Based in Portland, OR, we simulate true match conditions in a focused environment where each athlete receives maximum touches on the ball, high-intensity decision-making opportunities, and pressure-based, game-like repetitions.
Why Choose Small-Group Training?
Game-realistic environment: Every session begins with a purposeful warm-up and moves into drills designed to mimic the speed, space constraints, and mental demands of actual competition.
High performance & competition emphasis: We cultivate a winning mindset. Each drill carries a competitive edge and a clear outcome, encouraging players to push themselves and want to return week after week.
More than 1-on-1 – better than a large class: While one-on-one training offers personalised attention, and large group classes offer variety, our small-group format strikes the optimal balance: up to 8 players per coach (1 : 8 ratio) ensures individual feedback while maintaining game-flow dynamics.
Maximum ball touches, minimum downtime: Limited space, time-sensitive tasks, and elevated pressure mean players have fewer waiting periods and more action perfect for refining technical skills under realistic conditions.
