PDXFA SCHOLARS

Athlete Development Programs (ADP) are our highest level of programming at the PDX Football Academy. Athletes will work with our Academy coaching staff each week to maximize their development. This program is designed to enable players to fully unlock their potential using our unique mentorship relationship between each player and the PDXFA coach. This relationship will provide further development tools that exist in the field. From game analysis to ongoing development advise the Athlete Development Program for the player looking to be the best player they can be.

Our ADPs are fully customizable based on the needs of the athlete and are created using player goals, coaching feedback, game film analysis, athlete wellness, and the athlete’s developmental level.

“Excellence is never an accident. It is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, skillful execution, and the vision to see obstacles as opportunities.”

HIGH-LEVEL TRAINING

We pride ourselves on providing the highest level of coaching for our PDXFA Scholar members. Each week the Scholars Program will be run by one of the PDXFA owners Alex Hockborn or Stewart Boniface to ensure that each athlete walks away from each session being pushed and challenged both physically and mentally.

SESSIONS FOCUSSED ON EXECUTION

PDXFA Scholar sessions will focus on specific areas of the game. Rather than in-game environments, we will move to a situational soccer model. For example, 3v2 in the attacking third, 1v1 defending in the wide channels, passing patterns to goal, etc. The sessions will focus on developing your strengths so when you have the opportunity to impress in front of a college coach, YOU EXECUTE!!

ATHLETE PSYCHOLOGY

Football is a game of passion, desire, work ethic, devastation, and euphoria. We work with each athlete to help them navigate the football world they are playing. Each athlete’s mental DNA is different as are each athlete’s playing environments. No matter what the player’s footballing world looks like, we will help provide the tools to self-evaluate, build confidence, and identify their own actions/reactions in the game.

PLAYER MENTOR MEETING

Every 6-8 weeks players will participate in an on-field player meeting with a PDXFA coaching staff to discuss their ongoing development, goals, and other items the athlete would like to discuss. These meetings are upon request by the athletes to the PDXFA staff.

MEMBER WEBINARS

Each month players will have to opportunity to learn, ask questions, and be inspired by current players, former players, pro coaches, college coaches, and other experts within their fields.

ONLY 2006-2003 PLAYERS

The PDXFA Scholar program was specifically designed to ensure our older players have the necessary development environment needed. We will focus on how to execute rather than the why, as we do in our game-like training.
